Update to the Hawkesbury-Nepean Valley Floor Emergency Sub Plan

Flood Emergency Planning

In January 2020, Risk-e Business Consultants was announced as the successful tenderer for the review and re-write of the Hawkesbury Nepean Valley (HNV) Flood Emergency Sub Plan.

The HNV Flood plan is a multi-volumed document that interconnects with other plans and policies. The task was to review the HNV Flood Emergency Sub Plan and eight annexures, ensuring that current flood studies and results had been included, up to date notifications re: evacuations and timelines were also reviewed against other agencies benchmarks and processes.

This included consultation with all associated agencies and Government agencies and preparation of documentation for submission to the State Emergency Management Committee. The Project was led by our Senior Consultant, Mr Pat Paroz APM.

This was a four-month project that resulted in a rewrite of the HNV Flood Emergency Sub Plan and successful presentation of the HNV Flood Emergency Sub Plan and all associated eight annexures to the State Emergency Management Committee on time and under budget.
