Major Emergency Response Exercise Successfully Completed at Sydney Airport

Sydney Airport engaged Risk-e Business to develop and facilitate their major exercise involving all emergency services agencies.

The exercise was developed over five months to simulate a no-notice crash landing and subsequent emergency response. The team designed the exercise to be interactive between all participating agencies in respect to response and communications.

The exercise was held with a fully operational airport as the background setting.

Over 250 emergency services staff along with Sydney Airport staff participated in the three-hour exercise. To enhance realism, professional make-up artists simulated injuries on passengers which required assessment and treatment by attending paramedics.

Over the coming weeks we will provide access to insights as to how the exercise unfolded along with photographs to demonstrate what Risk-e Business is capable of providing in the area of exercise management.

We would take the opportunity to thank everyone involved. It was great to see that emergency management is in great hands at Sydney Airport!
